Und ich zählte heimlich: drei Mal, vier Mal sieben.
Ach, die Geister kamen. Und mein Ohr vernimmt:
Alle sieben Jahre ... Siehe da, es stimmt.
Sorgenvoll betracht ich alle Liebespaare.
Ob sie es wohl wissen: Alle sieben Jahre ... !

Wann sind wohl, Geliebter, unsre sieben um?
